| Home | HUCKLEBERRIES FROM MONTANA...so much flavor, so little time... Because bears like huckleberries as much as people do, I find it's safest to buy my huckleberry treats. When in Glacier National Park, we frequently go to Apgar (just inside the west entrance to the park) and stop in at the Cedar Tree Deli. We get a bowl of huckleberry ice cream (when they're not sold out). On one visit, we only got it once because they couldn't keep enough on hand! It's a very popular treat in Glacier. Our favorite huckleberry treat is a malt made with huckleberry syrup. We buy the syrup at the gift shop and bring it home to make malts any time we want to feel like we're still in the park. |
